Microschools:
Microschools expand the traditional educational model to better prepare children for the future. They are small institutions where parents personalize their child’s education. Micro-schools differ from homeschools because often the teacher may be hired or parents of children in the school teach the material. This is why micro-schools are often described as “outsourced homeschooling.” They are free from standardized testing, and mandatory curriculum that defines today’s public school system. Private School:
Tuition-based education that can be religious or secular. Parents often have more influence over events and curriculum because they are funding their child’s education.Public School:A school that is maintained at public expense for the education of the children of a community or district and that constitutes a part of a system of free public education commonly including primary and secondary schools.
Have you ever been at the store when your kid asks you if you can buy something that you already have at home? You probably respond with, "We've got that at home." In fact, you've probably got three of whatever it is and no one uses any of it. I digress.
One day my homeschooling friend said that whenever her kids ask to go on an exotic vacation she says the same thing, "we've got that at home." It sparked the most brilliant discussion on how many teaching opportunities are available to us in this unique city and how we should probably be making better use of them all in our children's educational journeys.
In fact we believe that Las Vegas is the best place in the world to homeschool. Whatever you'd like to do, "We've Got That at Home!"
